PIA flight waits for public servant’s kin

LAHORE: A Lahore-bound PIA flight was held up for nearly 30 minutes at the Islamabad airport on Friday to accommodate a family member of a top public servant, who could not get a seat on the plane earlier. Passengers on the flight, which was scheduled to depart at 5:00pm, were not allowed to board and were made to wait in the lounge and protested the unnecessary delay. staff report
